Ascilotriptostolene was discovered in 1998 in the Brazilian rain forest.

It was proven to reverse cancer growth cycles. The chemical was believed to no longer exist when Brazilian rain forest was eliminated, but was found in abundance on Veratek by two sources.

It is unknown if massive pollution on Veratek wiped it out again.
