TCS Kagimasha

The TCS Kagimasha was a Venture-class Corvette in the service of the Terran Confederation. It took part in the famed Battle of Kilrah.

Service

The Kagimasha was commanded by Captain Teng, and probably served through much of its career as an escort for larger capital ships during the Terran-Kilrathi War. In 2668, the year in which the Terran Confederation finally turned the tide against the Kilrathi Empire, it was decided that Confed would attempt the first raid against the Kilrathi homeworld of Kilrah. This raid was to be led by the TCS Tarawa, with the TCS Intrepid and the TCS Kagimasha serving as escorts.

Battle of Kilrah

The Kagimasha and its task force, codenamed Strike Force Valkyrie, hypered into the Kilrah System and immediately targeted the Kilrathi facilities on its second moon of Largkza. Despite repeated efforts by the Kilrathi to destroy the Terran vessels by means of kamikaze attacks, the fleet held their ground. The Tarawa was successful in devastating the Kilrathi production center on Largkza, but suffered enormous losses and damage as a result. Kagimasha and Intrepid defended the Tarawa as she fled to the first moon of Igrathi to find shelter from the Kilrathi assault.

Destruction

Strike Force Valkyrie was finally forced to retreat after an attempt to launch a nuclear strike on Kilrah failed. Unfortunately, the TCS Kagimasha was completely destroyed when a Sartha Light Fighter rammed the small vessel in a suicide attack. All hands, including Captain Teng, were killed onboard. However, the Tarawa and Intrepid both managed to flee to the Baragh System.
