One Banshee will take a ship's shields almost completely down for several seconds, no matter how big the ship is. Needless to say, wiping out your target's shields can be really helpful (especially against anything the size of a [[Monolith]]) but you have to be ready to jump in and finish the target off before the shields go back up.
