TCS Sevastapol (CVE-4) was one of the original nine Wake-Class Escort Carriers. The ship carried a crew of 500, some 375 of which were to support the flight wing.

The Sevastapol accompanied the TCS Tarawa in the opening moves of Operation Back Lash. Its flight wing took care of space-based threats in Vukar Tag while Tarawa's handled planetary targets.
