A Jump-Point is an FTL access point between star systems. A natural phenomenon (formally known as an "Antigraviton Tropic Anomaly") where a properly equipped ship can transit from one point in space to another, without crossing the intervening distance. A jump buoy marks the location of explored jump-points.
Jump-Points are surrounded by jump-spheres. During Phase One of the Enyo Engagement the Terran Confederation mined the primary jump point of the Enyo system.
