An image-recognition missile is a projectile weapon used by the Terran Confederation and Kilrathi fleets.
The missile locks on a visual source, allowing it to track a single ship without risk of hitting anything else. Locking takes several seconds.
The Spiculum IR was a Terran Confederation version of the missile. The Claw IR was a Kilrathi Empire version of the missile.
Image-recognition missiles are found on the Rapier II, Raptor and Gratha.
They are featured in both Weapons of the Terran and Kilrathi Fleets and Borger’s All The Sector’s Weapons Systems.
