The KIS Karu was one of the ten Kilrathi Home Fleet carriers in 2667. It was part of the division of the Home Fleet under Crown Prince Thrakhath that attempted to intercept Strike Force Valkyrie as it raided the Kilrah System during the First Battle of Kilrah. It was used to block the jump line from the Baragh to Rushta system. During the battle in Baragh it only played a blockade role.
