Text of the oath

I am the heart of the Confederation.
A servant of peace ...
A deliverer of freedom ...
A guardian of worlds ...
As I pave the road to victory
I shall not fear the enemy
For he cannot conquer justice.

As I light the righteous fire of peace
I shall hold life sacred
For it is my duty to rise against evil.

In my comrades I do trust
For we are one anothers' eyes.
Even in the face of death
We wear our rank in faith
That justice will right all wrongs.

Behind the Scenes

The Oath first appears in Voices of War, the companion to Wing Commander Armada, and a shortened version is subsequently printed in Victory Streak.

It is a creed, and structurally similar to those used by the various branches of the United States Military.

Although the Official Authorized Wing Commander Confederation Handbook claims to include the Oath of Service on its cover, it only carries fragments of the Kilrathi equivilant, The Kilrathi Oath, which was printed alongside the Oath of Service in Voices of War.
