Transcript
COLONEL TAMARA "PANTHER" FARNSWORTH: I say we just cut our losses and pull back; the jump point is the quickest way out of this system.
COLONEL JACOB "HAWK" MANLEY: It's way too obvious; I say we stay and hurt the Lexington as much as possible. That way, we'll be hurting Confed, too.
COLONEL CHRISTOPHER BLAIR: How long have they been carrying on like this?
CAPTAIN WILLIAM EISEN: Too long. Look, you're both right and you're both wrong. Attacking the Lexington is a waste of valuable resources -- beating a hasty retreat is a wiser course of action. The jump point is the most obvious exit route, the Silenos Nebula might be a better way out. Either way, I don't think the Lexington is going to just let us cruise away... I'll bet you'll get a chance to inflict damage on her or sustain more yourself.
COLONEL TAMARA "PANTHER" FARNSWORTH: What do you think, Colonel?
COLONEL CHRISTOPHER BLAIR: I think this ship needs a captain.
CAPTAIN WILLIAM EISEN: I'll do the best I can.

control bay - Eisen, Panther, Hawk -d2ÿÿ CONDITION: This REQUIRED scene is NOT available until Scene 99-D2 has played.
Panther and Hawk are arguing over tactics. Blair joins Eisen -- who is standing back with his arms folded, taking it all in.
Panther ... We should just cut our losses and pull out. That jump point is the quickest way out of the system.
Hawk But it's way too obvious. If we stay and hurt the Lexington as much as possible, we'd be hurting Confed too.
Blair (to Eisen) How long have they been carrying on like this?
Eisen Too long.
Panther and Hawk look at them.
Eisen Listen, you're both right -- and you're both wrong. Attacking the Lexington would be a waste of resources. Beating a hasty retreat is the wiser course of action. But the jump point is the obvious exit route. The Silenos Nebula might be a better way out. (beat) Either way, I doubt the Lexington will allow us to just cruise away...
eisen looks pointedly at hawk.
eisen You can bet you'll get a chance to inflict more damage on her ... or sustain more on yourselves.
Panther (beat; to Blair) What do you think?
Blair I think this ship needs a captain.
Panther and Hawk exchange looks. they both know Blair is right. finally, they nod their acceptance.
eisen I'll do my best.
eisen exits.
