Colonel Ransom led the rebel faction of the TCS Gettysburg crew following their mutiny in 2667. He wanted to continue a career of terrorism and piracy, refusing to rejoin the Confederation Fleet. When the crew of the Gettysburg committed mutiny against Commodore Cain, Colonel Ransom organized the capture of the Rigel Supply Depot in order to obtain supplies. However, when a prisoner tried to escape, Colonel Ransom's team massacred the prisoners. Jason Bondarevsky and Lieutenant Colonel Poelma's squadron abandoned Random afterwards and returned to the Gettysburg where, with the assistance of TCS Concordia pilot, Christopher Blair, they launched an attack on and destroyed the Rigel Depot. Colonel Random died on 2667.093 aboard the depot.
