The Heat-Seeking Missile was a projectile weapon used by the Terran Confederation and Kilrathi fleets.
The missile locked on heat sources, usually those generated at the tail end of a fighter. If a heat-seeking missile lost its target lock it could acquire another, including that of the ship which fired it.
The Javelin HS was a Terran Confederation version of the missile. Heat-Seeking missiles were found on the Hornet, Scimitar, Raptor, Venture, Dralthi, Krant, Gratha and Jalthi.
They were featured in both Weapons of the Terran and Kilrathi Fleets and Borger's All The Sector's Weapons Systems.
