A heat-seeking missile is a projectile weapon used by the Terran Confederation and Kilrathi fleets.
The missile locks on heat sources, usually those generated at the tail end of a fighter. If a heat-seeking missile loses its target lock it can acquire another, including that of the ship which fired it.
The Javelin HS is a Terran Confederation version of the missile, while the Stalker HS was the Kilrathi Empire version. Heat-seeking missiles are found on the Hornet, Scimitar, Raptor, Venture, Dralthi, Krant, Gratha and Jalthi.
They are featured in both Weapons of the Terran and Kilrathi Fleets and Borger’s All The Sector’s Weapons Systems.
