Brimstone 2

This page lists the silver star (100pts.) on Brimstone 2 as possible with death of wingman and an ace kill. I have tested extensively using WING COMMANDER VER. F3.1 (as seen by pressing Ctrl+V during a mission), and I believe that this is in error. I reached Brimstone without killing any aces, and I encountered no aces in multiple tries of this mission. I have encountered a total of 8 enemies, and whether or not I also kill Maniac, the wingman, I find that I get no medal after those 8 kills.

Does anyone else have any evidence that it is possible to fight an ace in Brimstone 2 or that it is possible to earn that silver medal? If not, I recommend moving Brimstone 2 to the "Impossible Medals" section. If you do have such evidence that it is possible, I would greatly like to see more information about how to accomplish it, such as which version of the software you're running and any important steps leading up to it.

Mutually Exclusive Medals

It would be good to note which medals prevent one from getting another. For example, according to this helpful record, both the bronze star in Brimstone 3 and the silver star in Venice 1 require killing Khajja the Fang, so only one of those two medals can be earned in a single career. Similar situations may arise where there are multiple places within a single timeline that a given ace could appear and where their death is necessary in multiple cases to earn the medal.
