Callimachus is a star system in the Enigma Sector and a territory of the Terran Confederation.
During the Border Worlds Conflict in 2673, the Union of Border Worlds colony of Telamon was attacked by unknown hostiles working within the Terran Confederation. The crew of the BWS Intrepid tracked the attackers to the lifeless Axius System, and prepared to attack the enemy there. However, such an attack could not be staged until they knew what they were up against, so the Intrepid parked itself in the nearby Callimachus System, where it would stake out until reconnaissance could be gathered on the enemy's strength in the system. Colonel Christopher Blair investigated Axius alone while his comrades were on standby in Callimachus.
