Wikipedia talk pages have an awful format. You can start a thread in General WC Chat if you want to discuss something. There might be a separate forum later. I like the single infobox for fighters. Can this be adapted for Persons as well, taking into account that Firekkans have a Flock and Kilrathi a clan (and nothing for humans)? |

How about adding pictures to the table, above the names of variants, like I did below, though it doesn't work with this kind of borders very well:
A Darket flown off the KIS Sivar's Glory in 2669. | A Darket Dragonfly flown by a mercenary pilot in 2701. | A Darket Raptor flown by a mercenary pilot in 2701. | A Darket Stalker flown by a mercenary pilot in 2701. | |

Regarding pictures in table
I'm not so sure I like the pictures being in the table. Not every ship will automatically have different pictures available for different variants either. I think the look is cleaner with the pictures below the table as well. Plus, if we want to go for a standardized look for each fighter entry I'm not sure that this would be the way to go. --AD 05:06, 12 August 2007 (CDT)
- OK, was just a suggestion =)
- Though if we go for this standardized look for each fighter we could probably do something like an infobox I did for Straith on Tri-Sys-Com for each variant of a fighter... --Priest 05:21, 12 August 2007 (CDT)
I'm all for making the tables look better. I don't really know much about that kind of stuff myself. Maybe someone else thinks differently about the pictures but I feel at least that including them in the table is unnecessary. But as long as all the information remains in tact or is improved, by all means experiment with the actual look of the table. --AD 10:19, 12 August 2007 (CDT)
Ship Specifications
I really like the table... *but* I don't think it's entirely practical. I can think of the following specification sets for the Darket:
- Victory Streak
- WC3 InGame
- WC3 Ace
- Darket Raptor Star*Soldier
- Darket DragonFly Star*Soldier
- Darket Stalker Star*Soldier
- Darket Raptor Arena
- Darket Dragonfly Arena
- Darket Raptor Arena
... and the Darket is a relatively benign example. Can we come up with individual 'tables' for ship specs, one per variant? I'm thinking the Darket can be our 'example' ship page...
Also, we need a ship 'infobox' for the top right corner. Something that displays one image, lists the faction, dates used, etc.

- Sure but then the page will be even more cluttered then it is now...
- How about separate pages for each variant?
- I'll cook up a Infobox template but I need List of all the fields you would like to have in it...
- PS: Also wiki-software ignores line breaks, so you either have to do two linebreaks or write <br> at the end of the line, or even put : before the line which will indent the line a bit ;-)

- I did a rough adoptation of wikipedias aircraft template for a kilrathi fighter -> for examples see {{Infobox Kilrathi Fighter}}
- like I said I need a list of fields we are going to use in such a template and if I get more time later, I might combine various character templates into one, so that we have to only enter additional field for various backgrounds...

- I was thinking about making one page for the entire line of Darkets, which links to the separate pages for each variant of it. What would the main Darket line page be called? I thought it could be similar to this: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/X-Wing -ZFGokuSSJ1 10:54, 18 August 2007 (CDT)
- How about Darket Class Fighter?
- A bit mouthful, but can be applicated to almost everything...
- Priest 13:35, 18 August 2007 (CDT)
- Yeah, that could work out pretty well. I'll re-name the page and have 'Darket' redirect here if we're all in agreement. -ZFGokuSSJ1 14:07, 18 August 2007 (CDT)

- OK, I've adopted Template:Infobox Fighter further, so that it now requires one additional input for the faction-design of infobox and can be used for all factions...
- On a side note: Shall we discuss proposed changes to various things here on the wiki? if so where? on the discussion page of the main page? or is there going to be a subforum for wiki?
