- This is a very old video codec used in Microsoft Video For Windows. Almost all media players can handle this format.
XviD

WMV and ASF
- A recent version of Windows Media Player is required.
H.264
RM (RealMovie)
- Requires Real Player. Only a few of our oldest, lowest quality files are in this format.
The VLC movie player can handle most video files (excluding RealMovie) without installing any additional codecs on your system. This may be an easier route for novice users.
