Acceleration Absorbers were a common technology on Confederation fighters in 2654. Some Confed ships from that era mounting acceleration absorbers included Hornets, Rapier IIs, Scimitars, and Raptors. Acceleration absorbers helped to reduce the effects of high velocity maneuvering on the pilot's body that at space combat speeds would otherwise have been lethal.
