The KIS Ras Nik'hra was a Fralthi class cruiser commanded by Ralgha nar Hhallas during numerous engagements in the Vega sector during the Terran-Kilrathi war prior to his defection to the Terran-Confederation. During one such engagement, the Ras Nik'hra was responsible for destroying the TCS Leningrad, a Waterloo-class ship.
It was also the first Fralthi that Confed managed to get their hands on. The KIS Ras Nik'hra was scheduled to leave for the N'Tanya System in 2655.266 to join a Kilrathi strike force that was departing for the Confederation frontier, however the KIS Ras Nik'hra set course for the Firekka System instead of its planned destination.
Upon reaching Firekka, Ralgha transmitted a message to the TCS Tiger's Claw: "To the lord captain of of the Tiger's Claw. I am Ralgha nar Hhallas, lord of the Kilrathi Empire, and captain of the Fralthi cruiser Ras Nik'hra. In the names of the rebel lords of Ghorah Khar, I bid you welcome in all honor. At their request, I bring you messages suing for alliance with your Confederation against the Imperial Kilrathi, and my own Imperial ship as a gift. The Ras Nik'hra will continue toward the planet Firekka from this jump point, so that you may rendezvous with us at any time."
The crew of the Ras Nik'hra had no idea that Ralgha had intended to defect, though some had never trusted him.
