As far as I can tell, the Encyclopedia was not written from an in-universe perspective. That is, the mention of the Victory is for the benefit of real-world players. Too, the statement itself does not necessarily mean that the Victory herself was one of those re-commissioned - in fact, all the statement is saying that older carriers are being moved to the front lines because of newer ones being lost, there is no mention of decomissioning. There is no reason to assume the Victory was ever decomissioned, so I think it best to remove this idea.

Was the Victory ever decommissioned? I don't seem to recall this particular event. (See first paragraph under 'Later Service'.) - Wedge

It was definitely decommissioned. The vessel is now a museum ship in WC4. It is no longer active on the front and does not fly under its own power.Aeronautico 19:44, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Question: I read somewhere in the past that Eisen eventually became an Admiral in his later career. I do not know if this is true, that may have been said by the fandom. Still, I wanted to verify this. Did he eventually become an Admiral?Aeronautico 19:44, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

No no no, I'm talking about the supposed decommissioning of the Victory between the early years of the Kilrathi War and her appearance in WC3. Read again: the first paragraph in the section labelled 'Later Years'.

As for Eisen being an admiral, I don't recall that bit of information. I'm pretty sure it's fan fiction. - Wedge

My apologies, Wedge. Well, it has been stated that ships 'like the Victory' were reactivated due to the carrier losses of the late 2660s, so yeah, the Victory might very well have been decommissioned during that time and then reactivated in the wake of the Battle of Earth.Aeronautico 03:31, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Okay, where is that quote from? I can't seem to recall that particular bit of information right now... - Wedge

It says it on the full timeline in the WC Encyclopedia at the CIC. I quote "More and more ships like the Victory are appearing on the frontlines. Confed was forced to reactivate them in the wake of the carrier losses of the previous year". It is somewhere after the Battle of Earth section.
