The Orestes IX Communications Station is a communications facility in the service of the Terran Confederation. It orbits Orestes IX in the Orestes System, a territory of the Union of Border Worlds.
The Orestes IX Communications Station was the target of the Border Worlds during the Border Worlds Conflict of 2673. The crew of the BWS Intrepid were investigating suspected illegal Confederation activity within their territory while in Orestes, but were lacking vital intelligence.
