My understanding is that the 'parents' in WCATV are his foster parents - that is, his aunt and uncle. It's not that the series is 'kept silent', just that no one has contributed information from it yet. The WCATV series is definitely part of the 'canon'. - Wedge |

I am new here :) I don't know the article's sources but currently I am watching the Academy cartoon episodes and the article doesn't tell anything about it. For starters, Maverick is seen sending messages to his parents, whom the article mentions to be dead. Second, he is seen transferred to the Claw still in his academy years, while the movie doesn't mention anything about it. And finally, several events from the cartoon episodes are kept silent from the article.
So, what is the policy here? Should we add some things from the cartoons or are they non-canon? Paladin 03:26, 12 May 2008 (CDT)
