It's a Movie! It's a Text File! It's Both!
Chris Knudsen has updated with another cool feature from his Privateer: Ascii Sector project. The game can now record text-based movies... and he has released a movie player so people can share the action. More immediately, he's posted a movie playing through a 'Defend the Base' mission... so you can see that this surprising project actually works like the original Privateer!
You can download the movie player here (1.4 mb) and the demo movie here (1.4 mb). Just run PLAYASC.BAT and follow the on screen instructions!

Dralthi, Dralthi, Dralthi, I Made It Out Of Clay
Mustanger, an especially artistic Wing Commander fan, has posted some neat pictures of real 3D ships he made! They include the TCS Victory, TCS Concordia (WC2), Gilgamesh, Waterloo and a pile of Hellcats -- and there are more on the way! The largest ship is the Concordia at 5-6". These were made of clay and then baked and painted. Beats the heck out of cookies...
