In the last days of the Kilrathi war, the KIS Karga attacked the Landreich. A battle ensued, and a pair of Confederation cruisers were able to chase the Karga in to the Vaku system. The cruisers followed, but one is later destroyed by the Karga. The other managed to knock down the Karga's shields.
Because of the radiation from the Vaku System's brown dwarf sun, they would have taken deadly doses in a matter of minutes. The Karga moved to ram the remaining Confederation cruiser, but the cruiser was destroyed by the Karga's batteries before the collision.
With the prospect of dying from the radiation, some of the crew evacuated in life pods while the rest committed zu'kara. The Karga drifted for several years until it was found by the Landreich and brought back online as FRLS Mjollnir. |
