Missing missions in Privateer campaign

Ok im on New Constantinople and working for Lynch when he wants me to pick some up up from Newcastle system offering me 30000 creds and info on the artifact. When I take off no orders are given and when I arrive in land in Newcastle I checked out the bar and nobody's home. I return to New Constantinople and Lynch is nowhere to be found. Ive tried just taking off and landing straight away and talking to Lynch twice before I launch but I still have the same problem. I'm running the latest version from your website and was wondering how I can fix this problem

When I remember right this is exactly right because you get attacked by Migg's (Lynch's assistant) and then when you return back to New Constantinople Lynch is gone... I think that's the point where you need to go to the Oxford system into the library to continue the story...
... but it has been a long time since I played Privateer...
 
Intended behaviour (though perhaps we should give directions to Newcastle). I don't suppose you ran into a certain ugly sidekick along the way did you (you should have)? Sounds like you were doublecrossed ;)

This is exactly what happened in the original, it didn't tell you exactly where to go next. Give it some thought, but if you need a hint, we're here.
 
ahh... so I were right :) ... yeah I guess my memory is still working good...
I still remember back in 1994 when playing Privateer that I didn't know where to go and so I checked nearly every system until I found Oxford... oh boy... that were the days were it took lots of week to find what you searched for :)

Cool thanks guys I thought my copy of the game was just crapping itself, it has been way too long since I played the original :P
Strange though I never ran into that fat bastard, I'd love to introduce him to my business end
