Hello everyone,

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone working on this prodject. I tried it out when it first became avalable and thought I'd make a quick stop and see how things are going.

I was impressed with the amount of progress you guys have made with this and was also happy to see that there is now a Linux port as well. :D

Keep up the good work!

Glad to hear the progress since the first beta is noticed. A lot if it was small tweaks that aren't immediately obvious.

FYI, it wasn't really ported to Linux, most development is actually done on Linux :) Just that there was no cohesive package that would work on any distro before..
 
No I havn't yet... Thought I'd make sure I get it running first.. ;)


BTW I cant seem to get the game to run. The installer worked but now if I run ./vegastrike.sh it just comes right back to the command prompt... Not sure if it was just a bad D/l so I am attempting to redownload the game and will try that again. Did I miss anything?
 
is this the installer ... or did you install it already


it should have made a symlink in /usr/share/bin

paste the exact command line...

also you can try just running
./vegastrike
from the bin/ directory of your install path--that's not as fancy as our shell script tho

what distro?
 
Doh! That did it... I was running the wrong vegastrike file...(the one in the main install directory)
