Joystick Sensitivity...?

Hey, Beckmen mentioned having difficulties with controller sensitivity over at the RG forums:

Hey, I just DLed the Flight Commander game, and two things really bug me about it. To the extent of my not being able to even play it.

1: If you use the arrow keys to navigate, it's way too fast

2: If you use a controller to navigate, it's way too slow

There doesn't seem to be a sensitivty control under the options. Will Ranger's Glory have this option?

I just checked the speeds and turning is faster with the arrows than with the joystick, but it doesn't seem to be much faster than about maybe 15%.

I think why it may seem extra sluggish is the fact that the enemies are always 300-500 game units behind you.

I have same problem

in FC and WC1 remake.
Enemy ships sit on your arse and i CANT get a bead on them!
Hardly conducive to a GOOD dogfight!

WHATS the deal with this in the flight dynamics?

I havent tried mouse or kb flight, only with my Logitech Attack 3 joy stick!
Any ideas?
I'l ltry a re-cal while im @ it.

So yes, the AI is needing improvement, this is known.

See, with the keyboard, a press turns you 100% of your available turning speed. With a joystick, if you only move the move joystick 50% to the right, you'll only turn at 50% of your turning speed. So if you want to turn faster, you've got to move the stick all the way to the side.

Maybe some veterans can comment on how WC does it, specifically in terms of percentages.
