Irritating flaws in the game

There are a few thing in the remake I find extremely irritating. One of them is the relationship between the orion and the centarion. The centarion with stock is the most expensive stock ship. The centarion with military spec in the most expensive military spec ship. This defies my logic when the orion, stock or military spec is clearly a better ship.

It is absurd to load a centaurion with 4 neutron guns and an afterburner when the best reacter you can buy can't even come close to providing that kind of energy. And I havn't mentioned the shields yet!

Is there a patch or something that deal's with this issue?

Anywho, I find the remake to overall be extremely awesome. I've bought and played the hell out of almost every WC game. I find this game to overall live up to the standard Origin set. My only big are so huge I find it to be redicluoius.

most people ask us to improve the orion cus it sucks so bad... so instead we'll decide to stick to privateer's values--and let WCU do any tweaking... can't change the prices either--that'd screw up the balance.

you should buy shield level 2, reactor level 3...then you'll have power--again these values are measured from privateer... If you play righteous fire you get up to reactor level 4, shield level 4...which should give that extra umph...

these aren't issues...these are the way the game was meant to be played-- it's supposed to be frusterating not to have a supership--that's the point :-)

What I did to the Orion was adding a front turret slot. It's called a gunship, and most helicopters I've seen that are called gunships have something like that on the nose. Makes it a lot nicer to fly.

A guy goes to the doctor, and he says "Doctor, it hurts when I move my arm like this." So the doctor looks at him and replies: "You have cancer and are going to die."

Seriously, though, the trick is not to move your arm like that. You *can* have all neutron guns on any ship... but it's never a good idea. Privateer gives you the ability to make bad choices -- you *can* buy shields that'll wreck your Tarsus' power balance, but you shouldn't. Similarly, you have to figure out which guns are the best choice by balancing them in terms of *all* their qualities rather than just amount of damage inflicted.

(Tachyon Guns are the most effective weapon.)

Yeah, like range, energy, firing rate, etc.

I think guns that have high exit velocity are best for turrets because armed with low velocity guns they can't hit a thing and feel quite useless.
