since theres a great shortige of WC product on the market, and fanmade stuff is trying to climb up, after dozens of never completed fanmade WCgames, fan fiction and comics heres an idea...a WC radio play

i'm serius, fans can put in the dialog, we have some sound fx wav files on the back ground playing....it could work

That's a nice idea, except for the fact that fan-made plots and dialogue suck.

if you can do a better job frosty, you're welcome to try.

fac fic is fan fic, wich means you can basicly do anything want whit it, like confed losing the war, startrek vs wing commander, porn commander etc etc.

the novels are just profecional fanfics, they we're just publised that's all
plus they kick ass but oke...

Crossovers, awful contradictions, porn... they're not the definition of Fan Fic, they're what make it suck
smile.gif

And the novels are not Fan Fic, they're official.

Though it would be nice if some of the good fan fiction got published. I'm thinking along the lines of a couple of the recent Star Wars anthologies, some of which included stories written by fans who were not authors by trade. Those tend to be short stories, though, and a lot of fan fiction tends to be in need of an editor

I've also seen stuff on the shelves that looks like it was fan fiction. The one that comes to mind, which I never read, was a STNG and X-Men crossover. It looked awful, but in all honesty, I never read it, so it may not have been that bad.

You're complaining about the difference between the roots and the trunk of a tree.

Yes they are different, but they are all the same.

Authors are writers; and it is possible that what they write was once a fan-fic.

Don't worry about it anyways. Besides, the CIC Chat Zone has a Fan-Fic Section

The roots and the trunk of a tree aren't the same. PERIOD!

You are in no way entitled to any WC games, if you don't have them its your own damn fault.

Hey, not all Fan Fic sucks
smile.gif
. And some of the writers actually go through a lot of work to make sure that not only is it of good quality, but also that it fits in with the rest of the universe.
If you're not willing to read it, then at least don't assume that it's all bad.

I heard it never gets finished, though

My Fan Fiction doesn't suck. At least I hope it doesn't
smile.gif
. And Quarto's right. I (and others) have gone through a lot of trouble to make our work fit in with the rest of the Universe.

"Radio" drama...? Eh, I dunno. It's a little archaic.

Shane: Planet X, is what you're thinking of. I've never read it, either, but I can assure you it's not fan fiction
smile.gif
. Michael Jan Friedman is one of the leading Trek writers out there (BTW, I know you were kidding in the first place, just felt like bringing that up).

Your own fan-fics can be improved by constant proofreading. Not only that, but have some of your willing friends read it, and see what they think.

It usually goes those two simple steps for even professional authors.

No problem with consuming a little more time to make it better.

Speaking of that, isn't "professional fanfic" kind of an oxymoron?
