yea just waiting for my download to finish but I can't wait, I'v seen the new shots, looks nice but I want the list of updates now because I am soooooo impatient, yes I know theres a list of updates with the download but . . ... ahhh. . .. .. I can't wait, this game is soooo cool

just downloaded the pre 1.0 a week ago and am soooo happy, vegastrike is nice but this. . . this is so much more fun and it makes me feel like a kid agien, yes I loved privateer when it came out, I loved it so much more than elite frontier wich came out about the same time, except that privateer had some better funding behind it I guess but ohhh this game is sooooo aswome, I can't explain it, the only thing I whish is that I could have a bit more conversation with the fixers in the bars like in regular vega strike, I love all the weird stuff that comes out of those vega strike bartenders, though I think that privateer was the first to bring the bartender chat to the gaming scene, I like the bartender in this privateer and the remake but I seem to be able to remember most of the lines wich is nice but at the same time I wish I could read some stuff from the bartender that was new (made by you guys) and without voice acting wich would sound weird anyway with the privateer ripped sounds, which sound so funny now adays.

anyway, if anyone wants to paste the updates into this thread I would be happy thanks.
 
you'll have some chatting with new fixers...look at the news announcements for where you can find them in 1.0 (they aren't working yet in the pre-reelases) plenty of nicer artwork... and you'll be able to destroy talons with 2 missiles :-)

among a huge host of other things
 
Off the top of my head:

- Armor impact sounds work
- Turrets can be given a "fire at will" command
- Talons go boom with 2 missiles
- High-res cockpits

I was going to reply and say there are some other changes we don't want to reveal just yet, but looks like you just went and did it.

Oh JOY! Downloaded over night and got corrupted installer or something. Damnit. Used download manager and no errors found in the file system. And never have had corrupted downloads before. Are you sure the installation packages are OK in those download mirrors? Can't remember which one I used, though. Well, AGAIN >:-(
 
Well the installer seems to be fully downloaded (180.70mb) but is corrupted. Perhaps I try that bittorrent-thingy, then...
 
This BitTorrent seems to be quite handy for downloading - if this now works like I would expect I don't have to re-download the whole 180.7mb again :-) I just installed the client and clicked that bittorrent-link, selected to overwrite corrupted privateer1.0.exe I downloaded last night. Download immediately rolled to 97% so I guess bittorrent is re-downloading only the corrupted parts of the file... yikes.
