Border Worlds Poetry

I also noticed that poetry in the briefing - blast, but I forgot which one it was - but obviously the standard FMV made in nearly illegible. My point is that the poetry was listed on the briefing screen, now what the heck was that doing up there? Just to fill up space? I know they put some silly things on the screen to make it look 'sci-fi techy' but that's just ridiculous.

I wouldn't be surprised if we end up seeing screens of other games or web pages being used as screen fodder all over the place...

I do believe it's during one of the loosing endings, in the bar at Nephele. And during the briefing where you're ordered to go after Eisen, I do believe the scene of a Hellcat taking off is also from WC3.

That Nephele bar video, I thought it was Tolwyn's Vesuvius attack on the BW from the second losing path.

Easter eggs, minor jokes, and other unrelated stuff inserted in are hardly new. Hell, Star Trek is loaded with them, from the commissioning plaques of starships ("Yoyodyne Propulsion" being one that comes immediately to mind; a snippet from the Gilligan's Island song ("a three hour tour") on the plaque for the USS Bozeman, from the TNG episode "Cause and Effect"), to the text displayed on a sign, to a bunch of other stuff that anyone with more than a passing interest in ST could point out.

Creative minds get bored easily, especially when doing others' work. Besides, if it weren't for those kinds of goodies, what would we be discussing? ;)

If anyone cares, the BW poetry is on the briefing screen for the mission after Telamon. The one after the scene where Maniac is at the comm console, cos Sosa is out wasting air by burning candles. :)
