Kickstarter Fails to Launch (June 22, 2017)

Disappointing, but very glad to hear Mr. Oldziey is still planning to take my money. : )

    Wing One Update: Tracks 14, 15 and 16 Added (August 14, 2007)

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was going for. That and ridiculousness. I just mistyped it the first time around and ran with it. What's even more ridiculous, is that I took a screenshot, and then realized that I had to edit the metadata to say "Dead Patrol" too, instead of just the file...

    Wing One Update: Tracks 14, 15 and 16 Added (August 14, 2007)

Look, I bought and paid for the track, and it's definitely Dead Patrol. I've attached a screenshot as proof. Even though I'm 100% correct on the Dead Patrol topic... I should also mention, before Chris corrects me on this one too, that it's highly unlikely there are any "unheard" Team Fat...

    Wing One Update: Tracks 14, 15 and 16 Added (August 14, 2007)

No... pretty sure it's Dead Patrol. Go ahead and check it again. I'm suddenly extra-excited by Wing One. It'd be just about the best thing ever if there were more "unheard" Team Fat Wing Commander tracks in there.

    Wing One Update: Tracks 14, 15 and 16 Added (August 14, 2007)

WTF? I don't think I've ever heard Dead Patrol before. Was this an in-game track, or music that was lost to the ages?

BREAKING NEWS: Arena Manual Sighted! (June 25, 2007)

Alternate explanation: Torg praises the book as having the "clearest possible picture" because Maniac's narrative somehow furthers Torg's vague anti-military agenda. Given Catscratch's reaction, it's a fair bet that Maniac's personality translates pretty well into his writings. I bet Torg...

    Marine VHF Radio

Just go down to a sporting goods store, buy a marine radio, and don't monkey around on it. I've never heard of a problem with too many people having marine radios. Usually it's the opposite.

    Let the music play

I respectfully disagree. I believe I did a good job expressing my view, and backing it up. This doesn't seem like a huge deal to me, though. Needaham is one of my favorite contributors to the Wing Commander community, and I'm sure he'll be back, pumping out more phat Wing Commander tracks.

    Let the music play

Dude, totally. I remember the first time I had to play a weird time was in a Swearingen piece... 7/8 in In All It's Glory (I think). Good times.

    Let the music play

I'd be willing to bet the Pioneer folks are doing the exact same thing with people they sare their 3d models and binaries with. And we all know they are huge jerks with a real financial interest in preventing the wide distribution of their source art (I'm being sarcastic). But yeah. 1...

    Let the music play

In all fairness to Needaham, anyone who thinks the description he gave his piece is somehow overly pretentious is unfamiliar with the area of modern youth-level wind band composition. That description would fit right in alongside pieces for high school bands by James Swearingen, Robert W. Smith...

you could send me the stuff at my crius username @u.washington.edu unless you can find some hosting!

    Let the music play

I've been lurking in this thread, but I'd be interested in seeing what you've got too, Needaham!

WC-3/4 on Linux : Dosbox or Wine ?

Try DOS Box first. If you want to run it in Wine, you would need to install the Win95 patch first... which could only cause trouble. DOS Box > WINE. There is zero benefit to running the game with WINE instead of DOS Box if you can help it.
